Georgia College Access Fair

Dodge Connection-Communities in Schools of Dodge County, Inc. participated with Middle Georgia College Aviation Campus held the first annual Georgia College Access Fair on April 13th at the Aviation Campus on Airport Road in Eastman. The students heard from motivational speaker, JR Henderson, took a campus tour, and visited booths of universities and colleges at the event.

A parent "Lunch and Learn" was held from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the Aviation Campus. Parents learned about the oppurtunities for colleges in Georgia that are now available to students regardless of income. College representatives gave information about college applications, financial aid etc... This funding was made possible through a grant from Communities in Schools of Georgia and the College Access Challenge Grant funding through the University of Georgia Board of Regents College Readiness Office.
